Madison A. Bolokowicz - Age 14
Madison has enjoyed art since she was a little girl. Her current art instructor has really helped to shape her talent and bring out her confidence and love of art. To Madison, art is an escape, a way to get her feelings and thoughts out to the world. Madison's art can be viewed on her website.
Danielle K. Gantz - Age 13
Born and raised in Hawaii, Danielle enjoys just about everything outdoors. She plays basketball and soccer, plays the piano and trumpet, goes hiking, does archery and dances hula. When she grows up she wants to be a photographer.
Danielle celebrated her thirteenth birthday shortly after she received the news that her artwork would be in this book.
Sophia K. Cleek - Age 12
I'm 12 years old and in 7th grade. Art is my favorite subject in school. I love playing video games in my spare time and I hope to be able to use my talent to become a graphic designer and someday create my own video games.
Shailynn C. Manabe - Age 14
I am 14 years old and I live in Hawaii. At the time when I drew my picture I was 13. I like to draw and when I do, I try my best. I also like to listen to music, read, and go shopping. I have an interest in engineering and I hope to pursue a career in that field when I grow up.
Nicholas G. Motl - Age 12
Nicholas is in the 7th grade. His favorite subjects in school are math, science, and of course, art. He is an avid soccer player, a Star Wars fan and a Boy Scout. Being from Florida, Nicholas’ favorite things to do are camping, swimming and going to the beach. During free moments, Nicholas likes to draw, especially animals and Star Wars characters.
Sonja Ann Matienzo - Age 13
Abby McGuire - Age 13
Creativity is the best single word that is used to describe Abby McGuire. Abby has always enjoyed being creative in whatever she does. Whether it's a watercolor painting, a thoughtful gift for a friend, a school homework assignment, decorating cupcakes or decorating her room, Abby loves to find ways to express herself through art. Abby also finds peacefulness through art. No matter what troubles her, a couple of hours of drawing, painting, or sketching makes her signature smile reappear.
Abby excels in all aspects of education and is currently on the Junior Varsity Tennis team and is a member of Lion's Heart, a teen volunteer organization. In her free time, she also enjoys spending time with her friends and family, listening to music or reading a good book. Abby is interested in finding a way to incorporate her originality and love for art into a career as she grows into an adult.
